The Vivo X80 Pro will feature quite powerful specs, just like its sibling
The Vivo X80 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch fullHD+ or QHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display (E5). The tipster wrote both of those resolution options, so we’re not sure. The display will be curved, though, for sure. The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC will fuel the phone. Do note that the Vivo X80 Pro+ is also coming, and that model will likely ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. This will also be a high-end phone, but a level below the Vivo X80 Pro+. The Vivo V1 NPU will also be included in the package. That chip was already featured inside the Vivo X70 Pro+, and it managed to boost the phone’s photography game quite a bit. Android 12 will be included here, with Vivo’s Funtouch OS on top of it. The phone will also pack in 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage. It’s possible the 6GB RAM model will include 128GB of storage, and the 8GB RAM model 256GB of storage.
Four cameras will sit on its back
A 50-megapixel main camera (Sony’s IMX789 sensor, f/1.4 aperture, OIS) will be backed by a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera (Sony’s IMX663 sensor). A 12-megapixel telephoto camera (Sony’s IMX663 sensor, 2x optical zoom) will also be included, and so will a 12-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (Sony’s IMX663 sensor, 10x hybrid zoom, 60x ‘code zoom’). A 32-megapixel front-facing camera will also be included, A 4,700mAh battery is mentioned in this spec sheet, and the tipster also mentions that the phone will support 80W wired charging. 50W wireless charging will also be supported. The phone will feature an NFC chip, and an in-display fingerprint scanner, most likely an optical one. That is pretty much all the information that surfaced. We’re not sure when will the X80 series launch, though. The X60 series launched in January 2021, while the X70 series arrived in September last year. The Vivo X80 series is expected to launch in the near future, though, in H1 this year.
