The Galaxy S22 has a glass back, Gorilla Glass Victus+
In fact, you’ll get the Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the back of all three Galaxy S22 series smartphones. That is the same protection you’ll find on the front side of all these devices. The same protection is included in the Galaxy Tab S8 series. On top of the Gorilla Glass Victus+, Samsung also used metal for the frame on all three phones. To be more accurate, all three phones feature ‘Armor Aluminum’ construction. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 were the first Samsung phones to ship with ‘Armor Aluminum’. The main benefit of the Armor Aluminum frame is that it’s more resistant to scratches, that’s, at least, what Samsung claims. That is always a good thing, of course, as nobody wants to scratch up a smartphone.
Using a case is still a good idea, though
None of that will matter much if you decide to use a case, of course. Many of you will probably decide to go down that route, though all three Galaxy S22 phones look really sleek, and offer premium construction. So, using them naked is the only way to keep that premium look and feeling. Samsung actually announced these three smartphones earlier today, and we have plenty of content on the site already. In addition to all three phones, the company also launched its new flagship tablets. Those tablets are named the Galaxy Tab S8, S8+, and S8 Ultra. As already mentioned, this premium construction transfers over to the Galaxy Tab S8 series. Samsung obviously decided to be extremely consistent this time around. It received a lot of negative feedback last year for using plastic on the back of the Galaxy S21, even though that plastic felt and looked almost like glass.
