Google Gboard is one of the most popular Android keyboards on the market. They come pre-installed with the company’s Pixel devices (and its Nexus devices before them), and it’s available to download from the Google Play Store. It has plenty of features that people love, and one is the vast library of emotes that you can use. These involve emojis, emoticons, stickers, and GIFs.
Gboard redesign makes finding emojis easier
There are some minor changes to the Gboard that seems to have come from the latest QPR. For starters, when dictating text, you will see the word “Listening” in bold text next to a back button on the top bar. The most dramatic change came to the emojis section. Starting off, when you access your emojis, you’ll see a remodeled top bar complete with a back button. Next to the back button, you’ll see the search bar on the right side of the screen this time. Next to it, you will see The emoji categories. The Emoji Kitchen carousel is still above your frequently used emojis. The bottom bar remains the same.
The other emotes also got some love
Moving over to stickers, there isn’t too much that’s been changed. With the redesign, we see the back button added. There are also the same buttons up top. That’s pretty much it for stickers. The same thing goes for the GIFs. When looking for a GIF, you will see the back button on the top left of the screen with a shrunken search bar closer to the right. Looking at the emoticons, the main change is the addition of the back button up top. Other than that, this section has been unchanged. The only other change is the addition of a back button when you use the search bar. Other than that, the Gboard is pretty much the same as before.
