The Pixel 6 Pro will feature an under-display fingerprint scanner

You can take a look at that screenshot below. The UI of the lockscreen definitely fits a Pixel device with Android 12. You’ll notice that a fingerprint scanner icon is located on the display as well.

A physical fingerprint scanner wasn’t included on the images of the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro Google shared, so we do expect an under-display fingerprint scanner on the two devices. Speaking of which, yes, Google kind of already announced both phones. Google not only confirmed that the two devices are coming, but it also shared their renders. On top of that, it confirmed that they’ll be fueled by the Google Tensor chip, and some more information.

The phone’s resolution has also been revealed

Having said that, this screenshot reveals more information. Its resolution is 1440 x 3200, so that kind of confirms the resolution of the Pixel 6 Pro display as well. Do note that the image we shared is compressed, but the original image is in the aforementioned resolution. The Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro will launch in the fall, said Google. The company did share some information about the two phones, but there’s still much we don’t know. Both phones will get a brand new design, and will be quite pricey. That much we do know. You can also expect new camera sensors to be included. Samsung’s ISOCELL GN1 sensor is rumored to be included as the main camera sensor on both phones. That’s a 50-megapixel sensor, by the way.
