Battery Share will allow you to reverse wireless charge other devices on the back of your Pixel 6. Of course, the most likely scenario for this is to charge your Pixel Buds. Which many got for free when pre-ordering their Pixel 6 smartphone. But you could also use this to charge your friend’s phone if they are running low on juice. Of course, their phone is going to need to support wireless charging. Keep in mind that wireless charging another device on the back of your Pixel 6 is going to use quite a bit of battery from your phone. It’s really more feasible for Pixel Buds, since that is a much smaller battery and won’t use as much juice from your Pixel 6. But, here’s how you can turn on Battery Share on your Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro.

How To Use Battery Share On Google Pixel 6

There are two ways that you can turn on Battery Share on your Google Pixel 6, and we’re going to go through each method here.

Through System Settings

The first way to turn on Battery Share is through the System Settings. So open up the Settings app on your Pixel 6.

Next, scroll down and tap on “Battery”.

From there, you’ll want to find “Battery Share” and tap on that. It’ll be towards the bottom of the screen. Then tap on the toggle on this screen to turn on Battery Share. You can also adjust when Battery Share turns off, remember this will use up your phone’s battery too. So you may want to set it to something like 30%. Instead of the default 10%.

And that’s it. That is how you can turn on Battery Share. However, if you find yourself using this feature a lot, there’s an easier way.

Through the Quick Settings

If you use Battery Share a lot for your Pixel Buds, or perhaps to charge a friend’s phone, then you can turn it on through Quick Settings. Pull down your notification shade twice. Then swipe over to the second page and you’ll find “Battery Share” in the lower right-hand corner. This will take you to the settings page for Battery Share, so you can adjust things like when you want your phone to stop doing battery share. You can move this setting over to the first page by editing your Quick Settings. And that’s it. That’s just how easy it is to share your battery with another device.
