This phone does look great on paper, to say the least. Let’s talk about its design first, shall we. It comes with a flat display with thin bezels, and a centered display camera hole. A somewhat standard look these days. It does look a bit different on the back, mainly thanks to the rear-facing camera island. This part of the phone doesn’t look completely out of the box, but it’s easily recognizable. There are three cameras back there, and an elongated horizontal flash sensor.

This phone has an all-new stainless steel VC with a total area of 3950mm². Its T-shaped design covers 72-percent of the motherboard. The Redmi K50 Pro has 7 layers of graphite, copper sheeting, and thermal paste. The device features a 6.67-inch QHD+ (3200 x 1440) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also offers a 480Hz touch sampling rate, and it does support Dolby Vision. This panel is protected by the Gorilla Glass Victus, and it gets quite bright at 1,200 nits of peak brightness. The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC fuels the phone, and the device packs plenty of RAM MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 SoC fuels the phone, which is the company’s most powerful SoC at the moment. The phone packs in 8GB/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage. Android 12 comes pre-installed, along with MIUI 13. Bluetooth 5.3 is included, while the phone offers dual 5G support, and Wi-Fi 6. There are two SIM card slots here, both are nano SIM.
120W charging is supported, while a 108-megapixel main camera is included as well
A 5,000mAh battery is included in the package, the device supports 120W fast wired charging. Wireless charging is not included here at all, which is a bit disappointing, but not unexpected. A 108-megapixel main camera (Samsung’s HM2, 1/1.52-inch sensor, OIS) is backed by an 8-megapixel ultrawide shooter (119-degree FoV). A 2-megapixel macro camera also sits on the back. A Flicker Sensor is also included. A 20-megapixel selfie camera (Sony’s IMX596 sensor) is also included here, and it supports fullHD video recording at 30 FPS.
Stereo speakers are also a part of the package
The device does include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. It measures 163.1 x 76.15 x 8.48mm, while it weighs 201 grams. The Redmi K50 Pro comes in four color variants, including Black, Green, Iridescent, and Silver options. The pricing for the device starts at CNY2,999 ($472). It will go on sale in China soon, and it will likely launch globally in the near future.
