While One UI 4.1 will remain the same for the most part, there are some new additions. Samsung starts by discussing the revamped camera UI, focusing on features like Pro Mode. This camera mode will now work with all camera lenses on the phone. The company then mentions the inclusion of all major camera features within third-party social media apps. We discussed this in a separate article yesterday.

The trio of Galaxy S22 phones and the Galaxy Tab S8 tablets will be available starting February 25

Samsung is introducing a smart calendar with One UI 4.1 that automatically assists in setting up meetings and other events in a streamlined manner. Furthermore, the company talks about the “seamless connectivity across platforms” illustrated using a Windows PC. This lets you continue where you left off, provided you have a compatible device. Next up is the highly customizable Multi Window Split View on the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Features like Samsung Wallet and the new sleep coaching feature are mentioned too. The former allows users to store all their cards, including reward cards, student ID, driver’s license, or credit/debit cards. Wallet is backed by the manufacturer’s “defense-grade security solution,” Samsung Knox, so all sensitive information is stored safely. The Sleep coaching feature requires the Galaxy Watch 4, with the wearable cleverly analyzing the user’s sleep patterns to offer insights on sleep quality. Users will also get recommendations on improving overall sleep quality. The three new Galaxy S22 smartphones and the Galaxy Tab S8 devices are currently on pre-order. Shipping will commence only by February 25. While these offerings will launch with One UI 4.1 and One UI Tab 4, Samsung hasn’t provided a precise timeline for the update rollout on older devices. But it’s safe to assume that the updates for 2021 and 2020 flagships shouldn’t be far away. Check out the One UI 4.1 feature highlight video below:
