The Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with extremely powerful specifications
The Galaxy S22 Ultra is, needless to say, the most powerful smartphone in the series. It is also the largest one, and a spiritual successor of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. It even resembles the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, not to mention that it comes with the S Pen, and a dock for it. The Galaxy S22 Ultra is made out of metal and glass. It features a 6.8-inch WQHD+ (3088 x 1440) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. That display is curved, and it supports an adaptive refresh rate (1-120Hz). It is protected by the Gorilla Glass Victus+. Android 12 comes pre-installed on the phone, along with One UI 4.1. The Galaxy S22 Ultra is IP68 certified, which means it is both water and dust resistant.
Both Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 & Exynos 2200 models are here
Samsung opted to utilize two SoCs once again. In some markets, you’ll get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, in others, the Exynos 2200 SoC. Needless to say, these are the most powerful chips from Qualcomm, and Samsung, respectively. The phone comes in both 8GB and 12GB RAM options, in several different storage flavors. The 8GB RAM model packs in 128GB of storage only. The 12GB RAM model comes in three different storage options, with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB of storage.
45W wired charging is supported, along with wireless charging support
The phone includes a 5,000mAh battery, and supports 45W wired charging, just like the Galaxy S22+. It also supports 15W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging (Wireless PowerShare).
It packs in five cameras overall
There are four cameras included on its back, and one on its front side. A 108-megapixel main camera (f/2.2 aperture, 23mm lens, 0.8um pixel size, 85-degree FoV) leads the pack. A 12-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.2 aperture, 13mm lens, 120-degree FoV, 1.4um pixel size) is also included. The same goes for a 10-megapixel telephoto camera (f/2.4 aperture, 1.12um pixel size, 36-degree FoV, 69mm lens, 3x optical zoom). The last camera on the back is the second 10-megapixel camera, a telephoto periscope unit (f/4.9 aperture, 1.12um pixel size, 11-degree FoV, 1.12um pixel size, 10x optical zoom, 100x Space Zoom). A single 40-megapixel unit (f/2.2 aperture, 1.4um pixel size) is included on the front. The Galaxy S22 Ultra has a display camera hole on the front, which is centered, similar to its predecessor. This sensor is different, though.
Samsung also included an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and UWB support
An ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner is also included here. The phone supports 5G (mmWave/Sub6), while it also supports WiFi 6E (6GHz). Stereo speakers are a part of the package, as is Dolby Atmos and UWB (Ultra Wideband) support. Bluetooth 5.2 is supported as well. The Galaxy S22 Ultra arrives in six color variants, Phantom Black, Phantom White, Green, Burgundy, Red, and Sky Blue. The last two colors are Samsung Shop exclusive, though. The Galaxy S22 Ultra measures 163.3 x 77.9 x 8.9mm, while it weighs 229 grams.
