That’s the very same source that shared the first Pixel Watch images in general, a couple of months ago. Those images were created by a third-party designer, but they were based on the real images of the device.
These are allegedly official Google Pixel Watch images
Well, now the source managed to get its hand on some official images of the product. If you take a look at the gallery below, you’ll get to see the images that were shared in the video. You can also check out the full YouTube video as well, it’s embedded below. These images do show the same watch those concept ones did, which is unsurprising considering they were based on this design. This smartwatch is expected to launch next year, but we don’t know when exactly. In any case, it will feature a round body and display, with a single button on the side. That button will likely serve as a rotating crown as well. What’s interesting is that Google will seemingly use proprietary connectors for a watchband, so you won’t be able to use standard ones.
The watch is said to be “bezel-less”
This watch does have a minimal design, and one of the promo images says that it’s “bezel-less”. It will, of course, have some bezels around, but it will definitely seem completely bezel-less. This smartwatch will ship with the latest version of Wear OS. As a reminder, Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 4 is the only smartwatch that ships with it at the moment. Do note that Google’s iteration will be different, though. Samsung applied its own skin on top of Wear OS. Google’s offering will look different, but we still don’t know the details. The company will want to keep things consistent with Android 12, though. This smartwatch may launch during Google I/O 2022, though that’s half a year away. That’s just a wild guess, it’s easily possible Google could announce it sooner, during a separate press event or something.
