This isn’t a gaming mouse, but you’d be forgiven for thinking that it was. Because it sure does look like a gaming mouse thanks to the RGB lighting. Typically, non-gaming mice don’t usually come with this feature. Of course, Keychron’s keyboards have RGB lighting too and those aren’t exactly gaming keyboards. But they work just as well as one and even look better than some of their gaming-focused competition. The Keychron M1 optical mouse is also priced at an extremely low cost. Making this a potentially excellent option for anyone who needs an inexpensive mouse that can be used for gaming and regular everyday tasks.
The Keychron M1 optical mouse retails for just $39
Keychron’s approach here with the M1 seems to be low-price, lightweight, and functionally sound. And if the mouse is anything like the company’s keyboards, it should hold up pretty well. The mouse is priced at just $39, and comes with a slightly open ventilated design. Not too unlike the HyperX Pulsefire Haste. Just without the honeycomb design for the holes. It also uses a detachable USB-C cable, though it’s not wireless. So it does have to be plugged in to use it. It also has a 16,000 dpi, weighs only 68g, and has a handful of programmable buttons. By the looks of it, there are two on each side. Plus the left and right click, and a clickable scroll wheel. Keychron will offer the mouse in White and Black when it goes on sale, which should be sometime this holiday season. Unfortunately Keychron doesn’t mention a specific time frame. Just that the mouse is “coming soon.” You can however sign up to be notified when it becomes available.
