Though there are some stark differences that set these apart. Namely the use of a physical boom mic instead of virtual one. As a premium audio brand, Master & Dynamic is no stranger to good quality sound. Something which is very much reflected in the company’s MW08 true wireless earbuds. But, the MG20 is Master & Dynamic’s first pair of gaming headphones. A sector of the audio market that isn’t exactly in its wheelhouse. That didn’t stop the company from pouring in everything it’s learned over the years when creating the MG20. Melding details like the use of magnesium, lambskin leather, and Alcantara for the build materials with thoughtful, and functional audio features that are perfect for gaming.
The Master & Dynamic MG20 gaming headphones aren’t limited to PS5
While the headphones were very much designed with PS5 in mind, they work with more than PS5. They’ll also work with PS4, as well as PC. Thanks to the inclusion of a low-latency USB adapter you can plug into your machine. They also support Bluetooth 5.0 with Qualcomm aptX HD and aptX low-latency. So they can be connected to smartphones and anything else that supports Bluetooth audio. Making these just as versatile for any audio entertainment as they are for your choice of gaming platform. Master & Dynamic says they’ll last for up to 22 hours on a single charge and they can charge back up to 50% in just 30 minutes using USB-C. Allowing for lengthy gaming sessions or your next music, TV, or movie binge. They also utilize 50mm Beryllium drivers and come with 7.1 surround sound for more immersion.
Thoughtful gaming features aim to deliver the best possible experience
Beyond the platform compatibility, and beyond the luxury materials like the soft Alcantara headband and lambskin leather memory foam ear cushions, the MG20 are tailored to making your game sessions seamless and enjoyable. You’ll find the headphones come with a high-quality detachable boom mic for enhanced clarity in voice chat. But there’s also an internal mic array. This can be used for in-game voice chat too, or just for your everyday voice calls. What’s more is that you also get separate dials for adjusting voice chat volume and in-game volume. So you can balance out and fine tune your listening experience to be just right. The Master & Dynamic MG20 come in two different colors – Galactic White and Black Onyx. They’ll be available from Master & Dynamic on November 16 with a retail price of $449 in the US. They’ll also be available in the UK at £429, and in Europe at €449.
