9To5Google states that Sense 2 and Versa 4 are the current names for both devices. And, there’s a leaked image which reportedly shows off the design of what is thought to be the Versa 4. In the leaked image, you can see a button sitting on the right side of the watch.

The Fitbit Sense 2 side button may be tactile

Two main things may be different here from the Versa 3 and Sense. One, as noted above the button protrudes. Unlike on the Versa 3 and Sense where Fitbit used what it called a solid state button. And two, there’s a possibility the button on the Versa 4 and Sense 2 may actually be one you can press in. Whereas on the current model it’s a touch-based feedback. This would present users with a physical button that’s much easier to interact with. Though, if you enjoyed the touch-based button then we can see how this may not be a welcomed change. According to 9To5Google the current charging cable and bands will support these new models. So you should end up with some extras or backups if you upgrade. And that’s always a pleasant surprise. Keep in mind that both the design and the button’s setup on these watches is not confirmed yet. Additionally, there’s still plenty of unknowns about both devices. Price, release date, specs, and most features are more or less entirely unclear. Though rumors do speculate that Fitbit plans to launch these sometime in the Spring. Which doesn’t give Fitbit much time to get these announced and out to the consumer if that time frame is true. Then again, Google I/O is coming up next week so maybe we’ll hear more about what Fitbit has planned during that event. Even if that’s not the case, the first day of Summer isn’t until June 21. So that would still give Fitbit time to meet a Spring launch target.
