According to XDA, who spotted this on the GPD Discord server, the device is currently in development in China and is running a fairly modified version of Android without Google services. Though once it reaches international availability that should change.

The GPD-XP will run on Android 11 internationally

The Steam Deck may be the current excitement for many gamers right now. But for those who love and perhaps prefer mobile games, this device is poised to be a successful one. The international version of the GPD-XP will reportedly run on Android 11, and have access to Google services like the Play Store. Which means you’ll be able to link your Google account to it and access all of the games available in your region. The device has one set of static controls on the left. While the right control can be swapped out between two different options. One has your standard set of ABXY buttons along with a second joystick. And the other is a set of five buttons. Which could be perfect for action RPGs, MMOs like Black Desert Mobile, or MOBA games like League Of Legends: Wild Rift. Once it supports controllers of course. These modular components also attach to the device magnetically so they’re easy to put on and take off. Specs wise the device seems capable enough to handle most mobile games. Though it still probably wouldn’t compare to something from the high-end side of the market. It’s reportedly running with 128GB of storage, 6GB of RAM, and is powered by a MediaTek Helio G95 processor. But that doesn’t necessarily mean it can’t run games well. In fact GPD shows off a demo of it running PUBG Mobile, which you can view down below. It has a 7,000mAh battery too, which is said to last up to 12 hours on a single charge. And the display is 6.81-inches. So plenty big enough to view mobile games on.
