WaveUp app can wake up your phone without you even touching it
If you do not have a lockscreen, your home screen will appear, of course. This app uses the phone’s proximity sensor to work, like other, similar apps that have surfaced over the year. Many of those apps didn’t work properly, on older versions of Android. Well, this one seems to work as advertised. Truth be said, we briefly tested it, but it worked as promised, and users seem to be happy with it, for the most part. You also have some options when it comes to setting up this application. You can set a number of waves needed, enable ‘Pocket mode’ if you want, and so on. The Pocket mode is especially useful, as it will prevent the app from waking your phone while it’s in the pocket. So, it’s essentially a very simple app that does one thing, and does it well. Its setting options are welcomed, as they allow you to fine-tune how this application works.
A paid version is also available
Do note that there are both free and paid versions of the app available. Neither contains ads, nor in-app purchases. They are two separate apps in the Google Play Store, both of which are linked below the article. They even have almost the same functionality. The developer didn’t lock any features in the free version, it simply added a fun feature, if we can call it that, in the paid version of the app. The paid version is called ‘WaveUp Fortune Cookies Super Duper Pro’, for fun purposes, and it comes with some cool fortune cookie sayings, that’s basically it. This paid version is here just so you can help out the developer if you like the app. That version is also very cheap, you’ll have to part with $0.99 in order to get it. You can grab either version of the app from the links below, and also check out some official screenshots. WaveUp (Google Play Store) WaveUp (Google Play Store, paid version)
